Bill took up pottery in Korea. Besides mastering the wheel, he experimented with natural materials to create his own glazes. He also learned a lot about building and running a kiln. He later built multiple kilns in Saudi Arabia.

I borrowed a gargoyle-like sculpture from Bill to decorate my college student flop house. When encountering the gargoyle, our adopted kitten "Hereford" would arch her back and hiss. A common reaction to this genre of Bill's art. Thanks for the joy you brought to this world Bill.
ReplyDeleteI can can so picture the encounter between Hereford and the gargoyle.
